Saturday Stitching

Good Morning Stitchy Friends!!

First of all let me congratulate Georgia, who is the winner of the Giveaway. She will receive Horse Country Christmas and the Market Release Cookbook featuring recipes from many designers we know and love. Georgia if you will email me at agrimm55@hotmail.com with your snail mail address I will put it in the mail on Monday. Thanks to all who commented. One of my long time readers Mrs T mentioned that she has a lot of old charts and magazines. If there is a chart or magazine you are looking for email me and I will contact her for you. Stitchers are such generous people.

I did finish Marshmallow World but decided to cut the motif short as the ornament would have been huge unless I was stitching on 40 count and we all know that aint happening.:)

And look at this finishing fabric I purchased from Fat Quarter Shop.

Either of these prints will be nice with Marshmallow World.  I am doing a cute pink and purple ornament for Audrey and I am thinking the cupcake print will be perfect with that one. Fat Quarter Shop has so many pretty fabrics and they will sell in smaller amounts so that is perfect for us stitchers.

Hocus Pocus Halloween by Heart in Hand...Maybe I will have this one finished by next Saturday. I have been doing some of these smaller pieces as refrigerator magnets. A good way to display a seasonal small.

One of my favorite stitchers, Meg, at Live to Stitch, emailed me this week and we were chatting about our favorite things to stitch and both of us love villages. We are also Prairie Schooler fans.  I was telling her about my wall of villages and I sent her a picture of it. I thought I would share here as well.

I love the Christmas village at the bottom so much that I keep it out all year.  I think it looks great against the cinnamon colored wall.

I was the lucky winner of the Stitching Friends Forever Yearly Giveaway. Come back on Monday to see all the wonderful goodies I received. I was having a bad day and this totally lifted my spirits. Thanks so much RJ and Mary.

Arlene, I am so glad you shared that PS wall. Those stitches are so pretty. I love them and they look wonderful against that cinnamon wall. Just goes to show color is good!!! I definitely think you should leave the Christmas one up all the time and add to it. Seriously that marshmallow stitch is adorable.

Oh Arlene, I love your PS Villages wall. I have the fall one in the middle stitched and it hangs all year in our bedroom. I would keep the Christmas one out all year if I had it stitched. Your marshmallow stitch is adorable. Congratulations to Georgia on winning your giveaway. Have an enjoyable weekend, Arlene!

Hi, Arlene! Your Marshmallow World stitch is wonderful! I love the colors and your selection of finishing fabrics. Looking forward to seeing it all done. The little Halloween stitch is super cute! Love those small projects. By the way, you are one of my favorite stitchers, too. ❤️

I love your village wall, Arlene! The villages look just perfect against that cinnamon color!

The Marshmallow World stitch is absolutely adorable. I love it. And the finishing fabrics below it are so much fun. I can see that I need to spend more time (and money) at the Fat Quarter Shop. I do get their emails so really I have no excuse.

And yes, if any of your readers are interested in older charts and magazines (from the 1980s and 1990s mostly) do run the specifics by me and I will see what I have.

Arlene, you found the perfect fabric at FQS for your stitch!! I love it!! I'm curious, have you tried 40 ct?

I am in LOVE with your PS wall!!! They are gorgeous on your Cinnamon wall. One day I'm going to stitch one of these PS patters, I think they are classic and the only thing that holds me back is that they are so time consuming. I love them though. I have kept out my Heaven and Nature Sing =stitch out all year...I love it too much to put it away!!

How kind of Mrs T to offer up the magazines...

Your stitching never fails to amaze me! I caught up on your posts this morning and love that tea towel with the cow! And those sewing boxes!
We are at the ranch and go home tomorrow. I love how y’all have Grimmwood and we have the ranch. The best of both worlds!
