Saturday Stitching

One of my lovely readers told me about this pattern by Plum Street Samplers.

It is Goody Grimwood. That is me  riding that red bird!! I  have to do this one for Grimmwood. I may change up the colors of the flowers as I am not a fan of peach colors. I need to tell Plum Street that it is Grimmwood with two ms.

I got a lot done in the finishing department this week.  They are not perfect but they are done.:)

Yuletide on Thistle Hill is headed to the Framer tomorrow.  I love this stitch!

Halloween Finishes...

Put on the Hat by Hands on Designs. It went into the Dough Bowl.

Halloween House by Waxing Moon Designs.   It lives in this drawer on the kitchen hutch.

Heart in Hand...I put it on the secretary.

And finally Cat and the Moon( minus the moon) by Brenda Gervais.

He is on the China Cabinet... I call him Calvin after Priscilla's bad cat.  I used the fabric I got in my Stitching Friends Forever Giveaway...it was perfect with this stitch. I also used it for the backing on Halloween House.

On to Christmas...

This one if going to Audrey...note to self, next time you use stripes, line it up a bit better!! Oopsie.

Prairie Schooler....it is going to be a gift.

My interpretation of Priscilla and Chelsea's Chicken Joy.  It will go to Grimmwood along with this one.

I cannot remember the name of this chart but I had to do it for the bear....so far we have not seen a bear but they are out and about in our area.

Kringle's Hot Cocoa by Sugar Stitcher.

Hands on Design.....I added the charm Faith to the Jingle Bells. Another goody in my giveaway box from Stitching Friends Forever.

Some Haul...

Oaken from Jen's Stitching Niche.

Hoopla....I plan to start this one today! I really like this finish in the wooden hoop. I may use this idea for my finish as well.

Now my stitching closet is a MESS so this weekend will find me sorting things out. Happy Stitching Friends.

You are one of the most productive people I know, and the outcome of your work is just beautiful, I love each and every piece! I had to give up my stitching after the head injury but I never lost my love for it, I can enjoy it again once more through your posts!

Wow! You have been busy. I need to do the same. I have quite a few things lined up to fully finish.
I think all of them are adorable. That little one for Audrey is so cute! I think little Audrey will like it. Calvin is too cute as well. I love the PS stitch. Those are always so pretty. You should make a gallery wall with all of them no matter the season.

Arlene, I always look forward to your Saturday stitching, your ornaments are so cute, and I am putting away halloween and fall for this year and working on Christmas, until everything on my list is done. I just love that Grimmwood design, I am really anxious to see how you finish it. Now I have a little favor to ask for another blog on another day. My husband does woodwork, and has been looking for ideas on how to finish our family room. (He has been staring at crumbling walls for some time:) That being said I showed him your Aunt Jayne's fireplace, and I know he really liked the beautiful work work, we were both trying to peek around the corner to see what was around it. Is it possible for you to post more pics of that beautiful room? I really like your new floor too, it is beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your family with us, it really brightens my day...May your have a blessed day.

Arlene, you have had a busy and productive week. Congratulations on getting Yuletide on Thistle Hill finished! Can't wait to see what kind of framing you pick out. All your finished are incredible from the Halloween to the Christmas. Well done! I thought of you when I saw that piece from Plum Street. I look forward to you working on it. That piece of Oaken is so pretty! Enjoy your weekend1

Oh I love everything! My favorite is the black cat with the hat beside him. Looks like my cat Magic! Wishing you a very nice evening. xoxo

Oh, my--what an amazingly stitch-filled and productive week you've had, Arlene! I am struggling to even get one new ornament finished up (granted, it has been an exhausting and sad week as we get my inlaws moved into assisted living, but...). Really love the Thistle Hill so much as it reminds me of the traditional PS designs. I have the chart--now just need to get busy and stitch it. First up, one last fall start, though. Can't wait to see your rendition of Goody Grim(m)wood :) I am not a big peach person either so I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with. Hope the coming week is just as productive for you!
