Saturday Stitching

I have been working on some Thanksgiving Stitching.

I am taking this to Savannah to do the fill in work.

I hope to start this one while on our trip.

One of my stitching friends shared this with me. I am not going to stitch the flowers at the top as I do not think they add much to this design. Also I want to finish this in time for Thanksgiving.

I am still stitching on the October word play but it will not be completed this year. I will do good to get this one done by next October!!

I ordered some finishing fabric from Fat Quarter Shop.

I am learning that stripes, ginghams and small prints are the way to go in fabric choices for finishing. If you have never checked out Fat Quarter Shop you should do so. They have such a nice selection of fabrics, many that I cannot obtain locally.

Have a good Stitchy Week Friends...hope to have some finishes to share next week!

Fat Quarter Shop does indeed have such a nice selection of fabrics. I get their emails and always enjoy seeing what is featured.

Your stitches are coming along nicely!

I started the October Word Play this week-
so far have 2 whole words in!! Am hoping to get this one done by the end of the month and next month would love to get Nov and Dec's done--then the whole year will be done for me--I started mine at least 8-9 years ago and only did the first 4 months--but have been working on them since the first of this year-with hopes of getting them all done by years end--at least!!!!
love the other's that you are working on, too--
I need some thanksgiving ones!
luv, di

Patches & Stitches in Huntsville has a wonderful selection of fat quarters. I buy all my fabric for ornaments there. I'm still working on Halloween and fall items as well, I'm always behind!I love the one at the top with the ships, I've never seen it before.

Your Give Thanks turkey stitch is so cute! Like you, I am getting into some Thanksgiving-themed stitching and just might get some of them done before the big day arrives!

Enjoy your time away. The rain may keep you off the beach but also allows you to stitch!!!

Turkey Hoopla is looking good. I would leave that row of flowers off as well if I were stitching that LK piece. What lovely "big-checked" fabrics you picked up, Arlene!
