Saturday Stitching

I had a good FFO week here at Nanaland.  But before I show you my goodies. Let me announce the winner of Seas the Day and a waxer is Brenda. Brenda shoot me your snail mail address ...agrimm55@hotmail.com and I will get it in the mail to you! Thanks to Georgia for her generosity in passing the stash.  I have done giveaways, shared with friends and mailed a few to some special people who will give the charts good homes.  Now on to Finishing....

March Square Dance....  Heart in Hand

I found this small sign at Hobby Lobby for $3.  I thought it would be perfect for my March Square Dance.

I hung it on my china cabinet. The blue background picks up the blue in the stitching. These little signs come in several colors so you might find one that coordinates with one of your own pieces.

March Hoopla...  With Thy Needle and Thread

This on his Easy Peasy for sure....just add it to a wooden hoop. The lace came from my wonderful give away box from Stitching Friends Forever. Thanks RJ and Mary.

Tulip Time....Hands On Design...freebie

Another Hobby Lobby Find. If you stitch this piece a four by four frame is the perfect size.

I placed this one on my bedside table.

Spring Whirligig   Heart in Hand

I used a paper box from a kit I had on hand for this project. I decided that I did not want to stitch  the kitted chart so I would use it for Whirligig.  It looks white in this photo but it is a pale aqua.

I used some scrapbook paper to line the inside of the box.

All finished.
I will probably put some Easter Candy inside the book! Don't tell the kids!!

This is a good picture of the true color of the book!

It is fun to think of different ways to finish our stitching!

All adorable. I did Tulip Time on my way home from Auburn Monday. Yes, I stitched it almost all in the car with what I had carried to Auburn. I love love love your color choices way better than mine. I may redo it. I will tell you more later. I love the hoopla too. I plan to stitch it this weekend.
Cute book. Candy kisses would be perfect hidden in there!

Good Morning Arlene, first of all thank you so much for sharing my stash. It is so good to know it is going to other stitchers who will enjoy it. I am working to some more small packages for the future.

Second, you were really creative this week. So, many great ideas. I think I need to do some serious shopping at Hobby Lobby. Lately, I have just been running in for thread and back out:) I love the March Hoopla, such a simple finish, but the ribbon really makes it, it is adorable.

And, third. I love the Bible Verse in the Box, what a gift! I am currently stitching, "He is Risen," by Bent Creek. I think you have that one framed.

Arlene, have a very blessed week. And, again thank you:)

IF I had to pick a favorite of your stitches here (which is hard), I'd go with the March sheep in the hoop. But then the tulip piece is perfect in that square pink frame.... and the clever finish on the box of candy. Thanks for the great finishing ideas!

Each one of your finished finishes is darling, Arlene. I like your 'book' idea for the Spring Whirligig. I haven't seen the Tulips design so off to find it. Congratulations to Brenda on winning your giveaway! Wishing you a super Saturday and wonderful weekend!

You DID have a great finishing week, Arlene! Love them all, but the book idea finish is especially cute. I keep debating about whether to stitch that cute St. Patrick's Day sheep--I am working on several St. Patrick's Day smalls right now and really enjoying them. Here's hoping this coming week is filled with lots of stitching/finishing time ♥

Ironically, after being sad at reading the column you wrote about your grands losing granddad, my grand girls lost their paternal granddad this week. Went to sleep aged 71- didn't wake up. Had some health problems but this un expected. They have lived near these grandparents their whole life. Sad. Eldest grand on flight from semester abroad... He had 12-14 siblings. Huge family. Lovely man. Prayers please

Arlene, I can see a trip to HL will be in order!! That sign is great for small finishes. Your tulip time is perfect in that little boxed frame. Love your color choice.
I just love the St. Patrick's Day stitch. Glad you found a use for the lace!
The covered box is a great idea!!! What a lovely finish and I agree with you, it's fun to find new ways to display our stitches. You certainly had a productive week!!
