Friday Five

1. Color Street Nails

I found out about this product from a Floss Tube Friend. Her cousin, Kaylyn sells them on her Facebook page A Pop of Color Nails with Kaylyn.  I got plain colors but I have been very happy with the ease of application and the longevity of the nails. It is real nail polish so you just take it off with nail polish remover. I have never been able to paint my fingernails without making a mess. These are easy peasy.

2. Art

I changed up my dining room art. I had a print in the dining room that I moved to the Livingroom. In fact I did a good bit of just moving things around. I will do a post on that next week. I found the print and the wooden trays at a local consignment shop and they were 20% off on the day I was shopping so it was a win win for me.  I used 3M command strips to hang them up. so far I am pleased....I will let you know how I like them after they have hung there a while.

3. Magic Eraser cloths.

These are a new product at our grocery store. I love Magic Erasers but I never felt that I got my money's worth out of the sponges. These clothes are perfect and you can use them to get into nooks and crannies.

4.New Ort container

I found this at Hobby Lobby in the Sewing section.  I have a thread problem. Or an ORT problem is you are a stitcher. Little threads left on the table beside my stitching chair in Decatur and at Grimmwood. So I am trying this and so far I really like it. I am thinking of getting one for Marvin's car to use as a small garbage bag.  I know I am dating myself but remember those slim plastic garbage containers that used to hang on the cigarette lighters in the cars when we were young? We need something like that for our cars today. Maybe I am just a messy person but I need a place to put my gum wrappers and other little bits of garbage. In the Nanavan, I cut the straps off a smaller shopping bag and hung the tag on  the purse hook. Works great.

5.Fall at Hobby Lobby

I could not believe the fall things were coming out but then I walked around a corner and I saw Christmas ornaments being placed on the shelves. Frankly I am hoping and praying the second half of 2020 is better than the first half of the year.

I can't say that I am surprised about the fall d├ęcor being out. I haven't been in a Hobby Lobby in over a year. Since the nearest ones to me are over 75 minutes one way, I seem to never get there. Call me lazy! I haven't seen those eraser sheets so thanks for the heads up, Arlene. Hope you have a fabulous Friday!

From your lips to God's ears on that last comment!! I think we are counting on the next six months being better than the last!! Thanks for sharing all your finds with us! I love Magic Eraser and need to grab those sheets next shopping trip!

Like you, I need a good place to put the pieces of trash that accumulate in my car and thus far the solutions have been less than satisfactory. I have a velcro strap that I use on the door handle to hold a plastic grocery bag. The bag's too big, and it gets in the way with opening and closing the door, so I use this only when we are on long road trips.

I like what you've done with your dining room wall! I love groupings -- that has been my go-to style of wall decor style for forever.

nice thread catcher--
I need one of those--probably--my brown carpet often
looks white from all the threads--so bought myself one of those floor sweepers --like we had in the olden days--you just push it around and it picks up thread ect and then you dump it out over a garbage pan--(got to too hard to always haul out the big electric vacuum!!)
and I guess Hobby Lobby doesn't believe in Summer!!!!
stay safe, luv, di

I saw an ad for those magic eraser sheets. I need to get them. I love the sponges, but like you I think the sheets might be better. I have one of those thread holders by my machine. I love it. Mine was made by one of Mom's good friends. I have a pattern for it, but with all my free time I have never made one. I keep an plastic cup by my chair behind a stack of books for threads:) I love the art and yes we need pictures. We always like to see changes. I have a new couch and chair coming. I had a hard time saying yes to new for two reasons, expense and I hated to give up the leather couch, but quite honestly it is almost 20 years old and has been the best one as far as durability we have ever owned. Ours is looking pretty rough. The chair far more than the couch. I tried to pick very carefully as I know we will have it a very long time. I am hoping it doesn't lead to too many changes.

I really like the way you have the art and trays displayed on the wall. I can count on you to always have something new to share with us. All I ever get to purchase is groceries!

I am not ready for autumn yet, Arlene! Is time really going that fast???

Are those nail products nail polish or stick on nails or stickers that go on your nails? They are pretty!

Love your wall art and 3M strips. We still have put very little up on our walls.

I love magic erasures and didn't know about the sheets, I will most definitely look for them next time I'm in the supermarket. I went to a quilt show and a sweet old lady made those thread holders, I got one for RJ and Myself, I love them. As soon as we open up I'll be in HL,I have tons of DMC but of course not the colors I need.
I LOVE the wooden trays!! They are gorgeous and I would have bought them too. I love the tole trays,my Mom would serve us food in bed when we were sick on one of them and a pretty aluminum tray....I wish she kept them. Your DR wall is lovely!!
