Friday Five

1. My tea drinking buddy.   Margaret loves hot tea so I sent her some of my favorite Ahmad teas in Strawberry, Apple and Citrus. Mom, Katy, sent me this photo.

2. My new chairs for the dining room.

3. One Candle. I visited Dollar General because I heard they had some new fall merchandise on the shelves. I found a great buy on candles. This Candy Corn Candle is perfect for early fall.

4. Another Candle. This one is also a Dollar General Find and it is going to Grimmwood.

5. Kitchen towels. Now these towels are just one dollar and I would probably not use them for heavy duty Kitchen chores but they are cute as decor.

Your new chairs look great, Arlene--and so comfy! And the candles are perfect for fall. I need to check out the candles at Dollar General (if I ever go in a store again :) Really like the look of the Cabin Fireside one! Have a great weekend ♥

That is a fun picture of lovely Margaret! Your new chairs are very nice and look comfortable, too! We like to sit around the table after a meal and talk so comfy chairs are great for that! Those candles must smell great! I need to pop in at DG and see if they have them here. I can't do flowery scents but those would be okay! Cute fall towels! I enjoyed your post!!

Everything is so much fun, Arlene! I love the candles and the dish towels!

Looks as if Margaret is as appreciative of Fire King and Jadeite as I am! The tea sounds scrumptious too and she is surely enjoying it.

Oh, Arlene! Such cute stuff, and a cutie patootie granddaughter. I envy your ability to have nice things and white fabric-covered dining chairs! With two teens in the house, everything gets pretty roughly used here. No sooner do I put out a brand new, crisp white flour sack towel in the kitchen, that I come back an hour later to find it crumpled with a ramen-noodle broth or ketchup stain on it. Like they say, this is why we can’t have nice things! Lol. Some days I actually look forward to being an empty nester. (Is that bad?)

Margaret is precious! I love your chairs. I think you mentioned getting them at an antique store. What is the name of the store? My husband and I love going to Hartselle to look at antique stores. One in Decatur would be a new one to explore.

Sharon I got the chairs at Anderson Consignment on Johnston Street in Decatur. They have a Facebook page they update regularly... I love their shop!

Mrs T, Katy collects a lot of old china and casserole dishes. It makes me happy to see them use their treasures.

Tammy Eddy Antiques and Gifts! She carries a lot of blue and white.

Thanks Robin!

I have burned both but Cabin Fireside smells like a much more expensive candle

Dollar General does have some good finds. Cabin Fireside smells like fall to me. I will look for another one at that price.

Meg I totally understand. :) I have grands who can be messy but I am trying to teach them to enjoy nice things. But when Baylor is visiting I try to be a bit more vigilant.:)

Margaret is such a cutie and she reminds me of you the most of all your grands. I have a dishtowel obsession...those are great for display!!
