A Pumpkin Here A Pumpkin There

I did a little September 1st decorating in honor of my blog friend, Linda at Linda's Life Journal. September 1st is her favorite day.  So if Linda says it is fall, then I am listening to her and not the weatherman.

I hung my fall wreath on the front door. It is the same one I have had for years so I will just start with the living room decor.  My Two White Houses now lives on the secretary.

The coffee table boasts a few pumpkins.

The Buffet. I took two of Mama G's Fostoria glasses and put an elegant pumpkin in each one.  I do not use these glasses because as pretty as they are, they are SO fragile. Several have been broken since they came to live with me. Maybe that was why Mama G kept them in her china cabinet.

The same ole favorite punkin came to grace the table.

My tea cart is all fancy for fall.

By the sink, my favorite orange clove products from Mrs Meyer.

And the end of the breakfast bar.

My Peterboro treat basket takes up residence until after Thanksgiving.

I am saving my Halloween stitches until October. This small amount of decor is just perfect for September.

It is very pretty Arlene. I can't figure out why I am not excited for fall this year. It is not like me. The drum is adorable.

I felt the same way when I saw Linda's decorations! I'm going to work a little every day this week putting out a few Fall things. I love your punkins...and that delicate glass. And I need to change my wreath after having the same one on my door all summer! Happy Fall!

Love your fall displays, Arlene! I have started taking down the summer/patriotic items and need to finish that first. In years past, I always have changed to fall décor the weekend closest to fall, but this year I am changing things up a bit. All your pumpkins are lovely as are your fall stitches. Enjoy your day!

So much inspiration. I love how you mixed your cross stitch finishes, with other fall decor. I must get busy...thank you for the encouragement:)

Well done! I actually looked at my fall wreath yesterday. May have to just hang it up. It is still in the 90s here so it is hard to get excited for Fall. Your pumpkins look great in those beautiful glasses.

Well September 1 is my favorite day too because it is my birthday. I have not put any fall items out but now you have me in the mood too. Everything looks wonderful Arlene. I love your stitches most of all. RJ

Everything looks so nice! I haven't put out any Fall stuff yet - I always fight this change of season. I embrace it in the Spring though!

I love every single fall decoration! Especially the two stitching pieces! They look Victorian to me.....maybe because I just bought the Fall edition of Victorian magazine.
I love how we all love Fall but it looks different for every one of us.
It is my happiest season!

Oh, such pretty fall decor! I keep seeing everyone's fall decorating appearing on IG and blogs and it sure is getting me in a fall mood. But, I'm not quite ready to let go of summer yet :) Maybe next week I'll pull some things out :) I do love September so much--probably my favorite of all the months!
