Change of Plans

Chief Screaming Eagle says Happy Thanksgiving!!  Elliott's class dressed as Native Americans last week. Katy said the parents got to choose a name for their child and she chose Screaming Eagle. They live in Eagle Point Subdivision so it made sense. And heaven knows our Elliott is no shrining violet. But when Katy saw the names of the other children....precious Angel and Sweet Pea for a few, she thought she had taken it a bit too far.lolI love my Indian Chief....Screaming Eagle suits him just fine.

We were going to go to Amelia's home on Saturday for a meal but about half of the kids at Priceville are in quarantine and Decatur is not far behind so we decided Marvin and I should just stay home. Amelia was concerned about her children being exposed and then giving their germs to us. We are going to try to stay in as much as possible this week as the virus seems rampant right now.

As Amelia put it...I am tired of living in a historic event. We hope next year to make up for all the cancelled plans of this year.  Hope is very important in the days we are living in. So I am choosing to be be hopeful and I am putting my trust in the Lord as are many of my family, friends and neighbors.

I am choosing hope as well!!! I like Amelia's summation of the events. It is so hard, but we have to have hope that next year will be better.
Screaming Eagle is adorable.

Love the picture of Screaming Eagle Elliott, Arlene! This certainly has been a historic event and then some. Like you, I am hopeful that life will be return to more normal. The Lord is faithful to his children.

Good morning Arlene:) I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your posts. I love "Screaming Eagle," Isaiah 40:31 says, "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." I don't know how many of your followers have blogs of their own. But, I really appreciate reading their "covid" stories. I don't know about you, but I found that even as a nurse, I really didn't understand signs and symptoms and really what can I do besides sit home and worry. The blogs have been a valuable source of information. All we basically hear is stay home and wear a mask. They have forgotten to remind people to wash their hands. Different states have different rules. Quarentine can be any where between 7-30 days. I live on the border of Ohio/Indiana. It is easier to shop in Indiana. Ohio has stricter rules (which by the way aren't making any difference). Please, encourage your blogger friends to keep writing about their experiences so we can learn how to take care of each other. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a blessed and happy day my friend.

I think Screaming Eagle is perfect!
We have cut back on Thanksgiving and may be cutting back further. Talking to my girls about what to do... I'm sick of living in this historic event too.

Gosh, I think we are all looking to 'next year' to gain back all the family events we lost this year. You made a good decision. It is sad to have missed being with your kids, though. Hugs!
