Scenes from Christmas and New Years

Since I took a blog break,  I have a few pictures to share from the holidays. Mind you there are no photos of the Roberts/Ledlow clan as the teenagers do not want to take pictures with Nana and Grandpa. We did spend Christmas eve afternoon at Amelia and Todd's home. We had good food and fellowship.

I  will start with Birmingham where the Grimmlins welcomed 2021. They had balloons, food, sparklers and a limbo contest.  Ben and Katy know how to make things fun for their kiddos. And lets face it, it was probably Katy who came up with the party, as Mamas usually do.

Let's get this party started with some food.

I think we are all ready to see the end of 2020.

Cutest couple in Bham.

Christmas in Canton with Audrey and Joshua. The holidays are so much more fun with little ones in the house.

Audrey got some reusable Disney Princess Stickers for her wall. And don't you love her cozy chair. Audrey also got a bedroom remodel for Christmas. Love the Lavender.

There were some lovely warm days over the holidays and this little man took advantage of it. His shirt says it all.

Marvin and I had a quiet Christmas and New Year but that is fine with us.  We were so glad we got to visit at each child's home during the holidays. That was Christmas for us.  Thanks to Sister Kristi for snapping this photo of Grimmwood on Christmas morning. By the time we arrived the next day, snow was gone.

That lavender and those princesses are adorable. I think they are probably a perfect fit for Audrey. Yep, his shirt says it all. I am watching because I know those quieter days are coming for us too and isn't that what we raise them to do ---have a good family and build traditions? Enjoy your week. I am about to get busy cleaning like mad for January.

Love the snowy day picture from Grimmwood, Arlene. So pretty! Glad you were able to spend some time at each of your children's homes. Audrey's new chair looks quite comfy.

Arlene, you brought a smile to my day! I love all of the pictures of your little ones. My grand daughter has a lavender bedroom too. It is such a pretty/relaxing color for a bedroom. And, Audrey looks so happy. Joshua looks like he is ready to tackle the world, welcome 2021, "here I come!" The party looked like fun, these are times/occasions the children will never forget. The mountains are so peaceful. You can just smell the fresh mountain air. Thank you so much for sharing:)

Those little ones are SO cute and I agree with you that the little ones make Christmas more fun! I had a lavender room too when I was a lot younger! The princess stickers are fun and that chair does look comfy. Of course, the t-shirt says it all! I'm glad you had such a great holiday, in spite of the crazy year. We can look forward to a better year, I believe!! xo

So glad you were able to visit with family at some point over the holidays, Arlene. Your grandkids are darling and I'm fascinated by those sticker princesses in Audrey's room! What a great, easy decorating idea. Lovely winter photo--our snow is gone, too, along with the sun. January is such a tough month up north! Enjoy your day ♥

Fun! Glad you were able to spend some time with your family. The grands are adorable. Even if the teens won’t take photos with you, be sure to sneak some candids of them. They will (someday) be glad you did.

Happy 2021, Arlene!

No - he couldn't be any cuter! I love Audrey in that chair too.
Ben and Katies place looks like a fun New Years Eve!
I see the day coming when my girlies will fight the photos too. I'm already hearing "Grandma - are you taking pictures again?"

Such sweet pics of your grands! And the older ones don’t want their pictures taken with y’all? What’s the matter with them?
But I understand....I don’t take many of the quads anymore....
