Bham Updates

Over the weekend, Katy's sister, husband and big burly sons stopped in at Eagle Point as they were heading off for a spring break vacation. I am so thankful that they were there to give some encouragement to Team Grimm.

Don't you love this picture of Elliott on the end of the rope?

Kind hearted Charlie blowing bubbles for Baylor Man.  This picture makes the inside of their home look pretty good but believe me there was a lot of damage.. Water is a house's worst enemy once said, Norm Abram on This Old House. And he was right.

Here is Team Grimm, cheering for their good fortune and encouraging one another to take it a day at a time in the restoration process.
When this much of your roof is missing, it makes an impact.  Praising God for His Protection to Ben's family and all the families in his neighborhood. It could have been so much worse.

So glad that got help with the cleanup. Love Elliot helping out!! That is a huge amount of roof damage. I will keep all in Bham in my prayers.

Yes, so grateful they are safe and praying the repairs will happen soon. Tornadoes are truly a horrible thing and they happen so quick. I noticed all newer builds in Dadeville had storm cellars or basements which is no small undertaking in rock. The area there is where the rock ends but it is indeed bedrock. Alabama has certainly become the Oklahoma of our childhood. Anyway, lots of prayers have been lifted for them.

Continuing to pray for your family in Birmingham along with their community. Loved the picture of Baylor and Charlie!

Oh, those blue tarps always mean damage. I am so glad their home is fixable and they don't have to move while it is being repaired. Praise God no one was hurt there or in the neighborhood. Praise God.

Praying for God's help and provision as recovery takes place. I am sorry this has happened. You have such good family. Love how they pull together!

Thank goodness it was no worse, but you are right about water damage. I know from first hand experience when we had a pipe burst upstairs and it destroyed our main level and basement several years ago. Wishing them well.
