From the garage you come into a hallway with a coat closet. What a luxury that is....right now it needs some attention and organization but I am not opening that door today!
The entry dead ends into the hall where the Man Cave and the Guest Room are located. My purse bench and the Ansel Adams print are right in front of you as you come inside the house.
You all know I like a pop of red as well.
Desk and more cabinets. I get to enjoy my small print from Tammy Eddy Antiques as I work at my desk. Coffee bar is on the left, my work basket is on the right. My work basket has gotten piled up with things from the move. I need to organize now that things are unpacked. I also need to purchase some pretty paper plates and napkins at Hobby Lobby.
My dear childhood friend, Linda, sent me this canvas of Grimmwood. I put it above this small Ray Ellis print. Linda hit the ball out of the park with this one.
I just love these trays I purchased at Andersons Consignment. It is the store where I found my coffee table. If you live in North Alabama, a trip to Decatur to check out their goods is a no brainer. There is a lamp there that I have my eye on!
I moved my small Ray Ellis print of Isle of Hope to the wall above the buffet. I got rid of my big mirror as this house is filled with light! One of the perks of a stand alone home vs a townhouse. I was talking to my old neighbor and she tells me that my old townhouse is going to be painted white through out. I would love to see it when the new owner finishes decorating. I know white is the big color in decorating right now but as an old nurse it brings back memories of the hospital.:) I love cozy areas and colors. It is good we all get to choose our own colors and decor for our homes. I can get a feeling for the home owner when I visit and see what colors and furnishings they enjoy. To each his own!
