Thank You

Thanks for the prayers....we made it through the day but we were in our recliners the moment the mini van pulled away.  Both boys were good, we are just old.

We watched tv, had pizza for lunch, Elliott and Grandpa went for a walk.  Elliott got $2 for reading two hard books to Nana. We did some crafts and sent home some crafts for Margaret who decided to attend her Granny's funeral. I think she was glad she went to be with family as they remembered Pat.

After a day with Baylor, I realize I do not pray hard enough for Ben and Katy.  He can be a challenge for sure and as he gets older and stronger, things will become harder.  Thanks to all of you who pray for my family.

So true Arlene. I knew a couple that went to church with us and watched them raise a young man. Margaret reminds me of their daughter. They moved a few years ago but I had such great respect for them as they raised their son. It was not easy, but Andrew was a lovely young man too. Many prayers are needed on a daily basis because like us all we have days filled with energy and patience and days where we just have none.

I'm glad the day went well, Arlene, even though it was exhausting! I so admire Ben and Katie and Elliot and Margaret and your sweet Baylor... Will definitely keep the entire family in my prayers. ♥

I was hoping you might update us ... so thankful that you did. Thankful that your day yesterday with the boys went so well. I think Margaret made the right decision. It's easy to think we don't want to do these things, but I'm glad she felt free to change her mind. I'm sure that the time of honoring and remembering Granny Pat will be something she'll look back on and be thankful for.

Arlene, thank you so much for posting today I was thinking of you often yesterday. And, believe me I understand your exhaustion,I would be too. I find that Kathy at Hands on Design is a great inspiration, especially when you see her young man. I enjoy reading her stories and involvement with special olympics. My grandson has been coaching a little boy with Downs this year and I admire his patience on the ball field, but as the season has come along, I can see this little guy improving and learning. It is awesome. Get some rest my friend, you have some stitching to do.

I'm glad to hear this report. I think Margaret will be glad she went to the service. I bet those chairs felt good after the long, but fun day!

I am sorry I did not see the post before this earlier.....I have had my four 9-year-olds for 3 days. Yes, I will put Baylor, his parents and you and Marvin back on my regular prayer list. We have to admire our children's parenting skills......I am so impressed with Amber and Mike as you are for Ben and Kathy.....Love you and love your family.

Glad your day went well. I feel sure that part of the exhaustion was, understandably, emotional.

I am always a day late and a dollar short. I am glad you survived! Too cute that you are too old. I don't think so! Children just have too much energy for their own good! ♥
